Firefighters called to large fire at industrial premises in Kettering

A large fire in Kettering is under control – with nearby residents now able to open their windows and doors as the Fire Service scales down its response.

As of 16.45 (June 23) we still have a number of appliances on scene at an industrial premises on Brunel Close, just off Northfield Avenue in Kettering.

Crews were called just before 1.30pm, and on arrival at the scene found an industrial shed was on fire, in which there were a large quantity of aerosol cans and paint being stored.

The smoke plume has significantly reduced, though we expect to remain on the scene into the evening to continue damping down.
